Ampeg 1x15-inch 100w 3 band EQ bass combo

Details

The Ampeg BA-115 bass combo amps draw their name from Ampeg’s heritage of making the best bass guitar amplifiers since the 1950’s. The BA-115 of the 50’s first made Ampeg famous among living-room players and rock legends alike.\

These new BA-115 models feature a tilt-back design, nothing too big to haul around, and small enough jam out in your bedroom with. Tone controls include 5 different amplifier “voices” that can then be further tweaked with a 3-band rotary EQ. The BA-115 also has RCA inputs if you want to run some audio in and play along to your favorite tracks, which is great way to hone your bass chops!

Best 100 Watt amp for the price Review by namwob6570

Just bought BA-115 #2, sadly #1 was sent to the grave by a heavily consumed patron at the bar I gig at on a weekly basis. Amp is lightweight (relatively speaking) and punchy, just sounds good all the time. I was tempted to go for the 200 BA115HP, but I already have a SVT3 and 610 cab for bigger gigs.
Ampeg just has that sound the likewise from GK and (wince & shuttere) dare-I-say Hartke just can't touch.

I've had the ampeg ba-115 for 9 years and it's still crankin' out some serious power out of it. It has 5 different tonal positions on it which is pretty sweet when you want to play different styles. I usually stick to positions 3 and 4. 4 has a pretty cool treble tone to it. It's a good amp for a practice space with a band. It might not cut it at big gigs, but you could use it for club gigs. Overall, it's definitely worth the mullah. (Posted on 3/1/2012)
