Completely re-engineered transducers (drivers) based on a neodymium ring magnet with optimized magnetic field characteristics. This combination creates a magnetic field inside the transducer which is far stronger (> 1,2 Tesla - measuring unit for magnetic flux density - with current headphones the strength of the magnetic field is < 0,65 Tesla) than in standard headphones. Because of this increased magnetic field, the voice coil is more compact but still provides a very high degree of efficiency. The membrane, consisting of a 3 layer compound foil, delivers an extremely precise frequency response and guarantees, in collaboration with the strong magnet, a transparent and distortion free sound.

Value Quality Features
Start by saying this review is based on 100+ hour break-in...I would imagine that right out of the box that you would be disappointed at spending almost $1300. That said, after proper burn in they sound phenomenal--impact, body, full tone, warmth, speed and definition are words that come to mind.
The T1 has a clear edge over most phones due to extremely powerful magnet structure and extremely lightweight diaphragm and voice coil. This mean ultra fast transient response and highly detailed sound--you will hear nuances that other cans can only dream of revealing.
It also means nice impactful bass that is tight and fast. The beautiful mid-range makes vocals sound engaging and very lifelike. The highs have such amazing attack and decay that you really get lost in the music.
I have auditions much pricier cans that don't do what the T1 does. A clear winner in my mind (and to my ears). (Posted on 5/16/2012)
