Fender is perhaps the largest and most famous guitar manufacturer in the world today. Since 1946 Fender has been producing top-quality guitars popular with big-stage stars and average joe’s. Today, Fender Musical Instrument Corporation (FMIC) is still producing the same high-quality guitars that made them famous in the early Rock-and-Roll era like the Stratocaster and Telecaster. We would hazard a guess that almost all guitarists on earth have held a Strat or a Tele at some point in their guitar careers!
Not one to leave out the bassists, Fender also produces the same basses that revolutionized the electric bass market, the Precision Bass (or P-Bass) and the Jazz bass (or J-Bass). The Fender P-Bass and J-Bass are still the standard for which new bass models are judged.
Fender’s early creations were responsible right alongside the artists of the day, for the rise of rock and roll music, and the boom in popularity of the guitar and bass as a hobby and a passion for many millions of people. Fender also produced some of the early famous electric guitar amplifiers that are still sought after for their vintage tones today, such as the Fender Blues Jr and the Deluxe Reverb.
