Jackson USA Electric Guitars, Basses, Dinky, Soloist, Randy Rhoads
Jackson Guitars began in Southern California in the 70s when heavy metal surged in popularity. At the time, Grover Jackson was just a guitar tech working at the Charvel’s Guitar Repair, which happened to service some of the gnarliest shredders of the day. When Grover Jackson took over Charvel, he spawned his own brand of shred guitars; Jackson Guitars was born. Throughout the 1980’s Jackson was known in the heavy metal rock world as manufacturer of high-quality custom guitars that were made in the USA by fellow metal lovers.
Today Jackson has signature models for notable shredders such as Phil Collen, Adrian Smith, Matt Tuck, Mark Morton, Joseph Campbell and others. The late Randy Rhoads was one of the first Jackson custom models produced, and remains a flagship guitar for Jackson over 25 years later. Many Jackson models come equipped with active pickups and Floyd Rose tremolo systems. Guitars like the Dinky, Soloist and Randy Rhoads signature still retain the spirit of 80s metal, but with improved technology, and are still top sellers for Jackson today. For many metal heads all over the world, Jackson is the guitar of choice.
