Joe was close friends with legendary guitarist Danny Gatton (touted by some as the greatest guitarist ever!), and Danny himself stated that Joe Barden pickups were the best he had ever played! With an endorsement like that, who are we to disagree? JBE says that the pricing of their pickups simply reflects the fact that there really is no competition in quality. Joe Barden specializes in rails-type pickups in all configurations including humbuckers, soapbars , P90s and single-coils like the Danny Gatton T-style telecaster pickups . JBE also makes rails-type pickups for basses, such as their J-bass style pickups.
