I recently completed my project....to put together a Tele Plus. I used a Lace Sensor Blue in the neck, and Red/Red Dually in the bridge. The tech guy at Lace was very helpful, and sent me a diagram that really helped. The Lace Sensor Blue in the neck has a astonishing tone. Very humbucker like, but not in a harsh way. Very smooth and agile in its performance, I was immediately happy. The Red/Red dually is a perfect monster. Tone for days, it is huge and articulate. The top end was very smooth...with single coil bell like chime, but the thickness of a humbucker. I may be a bit bias because I built this thing, but it is the best sounding guitar I own, and have everything from a late 60's Les Paul to newer strats and teles. My world has been rocked. OK...I had heard the hype, and frankly, I was not sold. Not until I was at a recording session, and the producer handed me his Strat with a Red/Red dually in the bridge. I have always been a Duncan guy, and I did not want to like it....Until I plugged it into plexi he had. I heard what I had always wanted from my guitar. Huge bass, but tight, a very fluid midrange, and smooth highs. The top end was somewhat Strat like, but there was this definite richness that I been missing. Needless to say, I ordered one from PAL, and put it in my Les Paul, and I have not put it down.....I just ordered a Blue and Gold dually for the neck position. I am going to wire that one up for all three sounds. Kudos to the guys at Lace. I am now a believer.
