Music Man blasted onto the scene in 1976 with the Stingray bass guitar and has been known ever since as one of the premier electric bass and electric guitar builders in the world. The original Stingray bass was designed with input from silent partner Leo Fender (silent due to a non-compete agreement with Fender) and his intuition for innovative design shines through. The Stingray bass is still a standard today, alongside other Music Man electric basses like the Sterling 4-string and 5-string models. Music Man also produces high-end custom electric guitars like the John Petrucci Signature 6-string and 7-string models, The Luke, which is the Steve Lukather signature model, and a Steve Morse signature model. Other notable Music Man guitar and bass players of today include Joe Bonamassa, Robert Trujillo, John Fogarty and Joe Perry of Aerosmith. Music Man today is owned by Ernie Ball, and also has a line of Korean made guitars called Sterling by Music Man. This should not be confused with the Music Man Sterling model which is made in the USA! If you are looking for the best quality, American made guitars on the market, with tons of custom options, look no further than Music Man.
