Stop the presses! Axl Rose is going to be on television for an interview – and it’s NOT on TMZ!

In a bit of unexpected news that will either excite long time diehard Guns N’ Roses fans or not really hit the radar for the rest of us who have long since moved on, the infamous lead singer is set to take the stage once again – only this time on the late night talk show circuit via Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, October 24.

For all of you out there keeping track, the appearance will mark the first time in 20 years that the enigmatic frontman has agreed to go live for a sit down interview on broadcast television.

Rose will be on hand with Jimmy Kimmel in order to promote GN’R’s “Appetite For Democracy” series of shows at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas where the band is set to play 12 shows between October 31 and November 24.

For those of you out there interested in seeing a bit of live GNR, the “Appetite For Democracy” set will feature plenty hits along with a healthy dose of misses spanning from the fan-favorite “Appetite For Destruction” to the for-fans-only “Chinese Democracy.”

As always, the GNR camp has not yet given exact details on what else the shows might entail but those of you out there familiar with the group can expect a few surprises – especially with a frontman known for his fair share of public spectacles.

And for those of you out there from our neck of the woods here in California, GNR are set to hit the stage on October 20 for the 26th Annual Bridge School Benefit Concert – organized by none other than Neil Young – at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View.

Looks like there will plenty of GNR and Axl Rose just a around the corner – great news for fans, better news for TMZ.
