Suppose, you break a string and you need to replace it. It is better if you replace the entire set instead of the single string that is broken. When you are replacing the strings, make sure that you have oiled the fretboard with olive or walnut or linseed oil and have also polished the guitar using a guitar polish. At first, you need to secure the 6th string till the bridge piece or the guitar's tail. Then align the tuning peg with nut slot, and then the string should be put through the tuning peg hole. Remember to keep 5 cm in between the string and fretboard. It Leaves space for strings to make 2 to 3 windings. The windings should be done from top to bottom, and it should not be excess in numbers as it causes slipping of strings. With the help of a string winder or a tuning fork, bend the string upwards as well as turn the tuner in a clockwise direction till the strings attain high pitch. Pull and stretch the string at the midway point and further stretch it once the tuning is done. This would prevent the string from going out of tune. Cut the excess string with the help of a needle-nose pliers or a wire cutter. Then, repeat the process for the other five strings as well.
