Black Sabbath's new album, 13, hits stores June 11.

With summer just around the corner, the rock world is not at all short on news for upcoming tours! First up is Black Sabbath who have just announced North American tour dates for August and September along with the premier of the first single from their highly anticipated reunion album 13.

The four dates for the North American leg of their summer tour will be spaced out between the first show in Holmdel, NJ on August 4th and the final dale in Los Angeles on September 3rd.

In between, they will be making stops in Toronto on August 14th before hitting Seattle on August 24th. There’s still no word if Black Sabbath plan to add additional dates but there’s a good chance they may be following the recent trend of bands announcing dates a few at a time.

The tour is of course in support of their upcoming new studio album, 13, which will be released on June 11th. The first single off the album, “God Is Dead?,” will be premiering on more than 40 active rock and mainstream rock radio stations across North America operated by Clear Channel. You can check out the new track for yourself this Thursday, April 18, at 3:00 PM (ET)/ 12 Noon (PT).

And in case you miss it or want to own the track for yourself, the song will be released as a digital single the following day, this Friday, April 19th.

Here are the added dates:

Sun, 8-4 Holmdel, NJ PNC Bank Arts Center

Wed, 8-14 Toronto, ON Air Canada Centre

Sat, 8-24 Seattle, WA Gorge Amphitheatre

Tue, 9-3 Los Angeles, CA Los Angeles Sports Arena

And speaking of adding a handful of show at a time, Deff Leppard will be teaming up to play a US gig this summer with Slash – coming just one week after the UK rockers announced a first show with the guitar legend.

You can catch the pairing at the Meadowbrook Amphitheatre in Gilford, NH on July 15th. Tickets will be on sale this Friday, April 19th.

Def Leppard had previously announced a July 17th show with Slash at the Performing Arts Center: CMAC in Canandaigua, NY. Tickets for this initial show are on sale now at the venue’s website.

Over the weekend, Def Leppard wrapped up their Las Vegas residency, “VIVA! Hysteria”, at The Joint inside The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

“VIVA! Hysteria” featured two sets from the band at each performance: the first was a wild card collection of songs that would change from night to night; the second presented the band’s iconic 1987 album, “Hysteria,” from start to finish.
