New Dylan Album Gets Release Date
Fans of the legendary folk singer turned electric can look forward to a brand new record as Columbia Records have set a September 11, 2012 release date for Bob Dylan’s brand new studio effort, Tempest.
The album’s release date will coincide with the 50th anniversary of Dylan’s first album, released by Columbia in 1962. Tempest will feature ten new and original Bob Dylan songs.
Tempest will be Dylan’s 35th studio album to date and the follow up to 2009’s worldwide best-seller, Together Through Life. Jack Frost will be on helm as producer.
New Aerosmith Album 'Best Collection of Songs Ever'
And speaking of upcoming albums, Classic Rock Revisited recently spoke with Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford who claims that the band’s upcoming album may be the best complete collection of songs Aerosmith ever released on one album.
"The album came out even better than we even hoped for and we are really pleased about it. When we work with Jack, what we get is a true representation of the classic Aerosmith sound. It has a little bit of everything that we have always liked to do on a record – or a collection of songs, or whatever they call it nowadays. I still call it a record. It might be one of our best collections of songs ever. We find ourselves listening to it quite a bit and we are still pretty impressed by it.
"Usually, by this stage of the game, sometimes you're not sure of this, or that, but with this one, we are very confident. It has all of the elements that we brought to even our first album. There is a lot of good old fashioned garage rock and there are some beautiful ballads and, to me, it seems like it's all there."
You can check out the new Aerosmith album when it hits stores later this year on November 6.
