The theremin is one of the oldest electronic instruments, and the only one known that you play without touching. Moving your hands in the space around its antennas controls pitch and volume. Like the Ethervox, the Etherwave is an authentic adaptation of inventor Leon Theremin's original design. The Etherwave is a quality theremin with a design that retains many characteristics of the original theremins, including a five-octave pitch range and reliable spacing between notes for sophisticated playability. Antennas are nickel-plated 3/8" brass tube and cabinets are furniture-grade hardwood, finished black. The Etherwave is fitted with an adapter for mounting on a standard microphone stand and is designed for use with a musical instrument amplifier such as the Moog TB-15. All Etherwaves ship with two video tutorials on one DVD: Clara Rockmore: the Greatest Theremin Virtuosa, and Mastering the Theremin, featuring Lydia Kavina.
This baby is a supercharged version of the palm-sized KAOSSILATOR, reborn as a powerful track-making tool and loaded with live performance power. As a trailblazer among the "instrumental gadgets" that allowed anyone to easily create melodies and phrases, the KAOSSILATOR gained a strong and dedicated user base, even among those without any performing experience. Today, the KAOSSILATOR continues to be enormously popular. Retaining these revolutionary features – while adding a wide variety of new ones as well – is the new KAOSSILATOR PRO. With 200 sound programs, a new Electribe-inspired gate arpeggiator, and four loop recording banks that can even record external audio sources, the KAOSSILATOR PRO is packed with features that make it ideal for both live performance and premium productions. In addition, USB connectivity with your computer and SD card memory storage allow the KAOSSILATOR PRO to be used not just for improvised performances, but also as a superbly intuitive, track-making music production tool.
Alright, this is definitely my forte! Although I would like to think that I’m an equal opportunity shredder, few things can beat the feel of a brand new Telecaster! Well, maybe a Strat since they are technically more ergonomic… but I digress. Anyways, I think it’s time for more of us to reach our inner Bobby D so instead of going strictly electric we’re going to check out some good ol’ acoustic guitars.
The limited edition FA-125S Folk Pack presents you with a richly resonant folk-size (small-body) guitar with all-mahogany construction and everything you need to start playing it - an electronic tuner, gig bag, picks, string winder and instruction booklet are all included! One of Fender's best-selling acoustic-electrics is now available with the sweet mellow tone of an all-mahogany body. Recently upgraded features include a new black pickguard, mother-of-pearl acrylic rosette design, new compensated bridge design, white bridge pins with black dots and smaller (3mm) dot fingerboard inlays. The limited edition CN240-SCE Thinline Black takes the slender natural-finish standard model and cloaks it in black for a darkly alluring acoustic experience. The extremely thin body makes for a perfect crossover instrument for electric players and beginners looking for a great classical guitar in a captivating limited color. Other features include a solid cedar top with traditional fan bracing, rosewood back and sides, soft cutaway for easy access to the upper frets, gloss-finish 18-fret mahogany neck with thin profile and dual-action truss rod, elegant binding (body and neck) and wood mosaic rosette, rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, gold hardware, gold tuners with white pearl buttons and Fishman Isys III pickup system with onboard active preamp and tuner. Don’t forget; this baby is a worldwide Limited Edition – only 250 will be made!
You wanted it, and Tim did too, so here it is! The Tim Armstrong Deluxe acoustic is a more traditional take on Armstrong’s original ‘70s Fender acoustic, with a solid mahogany top, bone nut and saddle, dot fingerboard inlays and Fishman Neo-D soundhole pickup with end pin jack (just like Armstrong’s modded guitar). And the great accessories—the embossed leather “Let’s Go” strap and the deluxe textured vinyl-covered case with gold interior—were designed by the man himself!
