Rolling Stones To Release Two New Songs

GRRR! is set for a November 13th release here in the US

In honor of the legendary group’s 50 year anniversary, the Rolling Stones have just announced the release of a brand new greatest hits album which will not only include almost all of their classic hits from their several decades in the spotlight but will also include two brand new, never before released tracks.

Yes, it’s true that this release is essentially another greatest hits compilation to join the several other “definitive” packages out there but unlike those other Stone’s collections before it, this brand new release is set to take advantage of several of today’s modern formats – meaning both digital and physical versions will be readily available.

Set to be released on November 12 worldwide and on November 13 here in North America, GRRR! Will be released in five different flavors in order to make sure they can hit most any Stone’s fan, including a three CD 50 track version for the casuals out there and even a four disc 80 track edition just in case you simply can’t get enough Mick in your life.

All of the different variations of GRRR! will also include plenty of little bonuses which differ depending on the package. Such extras include artwork, postcards, booklets, posters and even a hardback book in the case of the super deluxe version.

Just like most all of the essential collections or greatest hits packages that came before GRRR!, this brand new Stones compilation will include all of the expected classics spanning their entire career including their very first single, 1963’s cover of Chuck Berry’s “Come On,”  to radio staples “Jumping Jack Flash,” “Honkey Tonk Woman” and plenty, plenty more.

But unlike any other hits package before it, GRRR!  will include two brand new unreleased tracks for fans to drool over. The two brand new songs – “Gloom and Doom” and “One Last Shot” – where only very recently recorded about a month ago in Paris and marked the first time the entire band had been together in a recording studio since completing their 2005 album, A Bigger Bang.

Not to be outdone, the Stones will be giving this release a bit of a modern flair by letting fans download a “uView” app that can be used to bring the album’s sleeve art to life via augmented reality.
