The Jersey shore was among the hardest hit regions in the area

Morning music fans! While the mega storm Sandy itself has now finally passed on, the devastation from the aftermath remains far too real. While most Americans are doing what they can to help – such as donating blood and or funds to the American Red Cross – musicians are doing what they can to help in the best way they know how – by rocking all night long.

It has been confirmed by Reuters that none other than Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi and Christina Aguilera will be headlining a benefit concert for the victims of Sandy and will air on NBC and its affiliated NBC Universal networks this Friday, November 2nd.

NBC stated on its official website that all of the money collected from the concert and programming will be used to directly help those hardest hit by the mega storm by donating the funds to the aforementioned American Red Cross.

Ever since Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight movie was released way back in 2008, fans have been eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the insanely popular saga. What would have been the culmination of years worth of wait for batmen and batwomen alike, ended – as many of us have heard – in a feverish nightmare as a young gunman opened fire at an unsuspecting crowd during The Dark Knight Rises’ midnight premiere at a Colorado movie theater.

Although the lives of all those touched by the massacre will never be the same, two of rock and roll’s biggest acts are joining forces in order to do what they can in the name of relief.

Motley Crue and KISS first announced their humanitarian efforts during a Denver concert Wednesday night as they told the crowd they would be donating $100,000 to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund.

Guns 'N Roses frontman Axl Rose

In what probably comes as no surprise to anyone, Guns ‘N Roses frontman Axl Rose has officially declined his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in a lengthy letter sent out to the media. Although there are plenty of carefully chosen words Mr. Rose uses to convey respect and sincerity, he has yet to relinquish the role of “victim” in the matter, blaming not only the media, but former band members as well.
