Radial HotShot ABi line input selector

The HotShot ABi is a balanced signal source selector that allows the user to instantly select between two signal sources by depressing a latching footswitch. As it is completely passive, powering is not required to make it work.

The HotShot ABi is ideal for applications such as switching between two dynamic microphones on a stage or selecting between two audio sources. The latching switch also opens the door for other useful operations: These include using the HotShot ABi as a mute to turn off a microphone; to select between two wireless receivers for live sound system backup; for stereo guitars it can be used to select between two instruments; and for community hall assemblies, it provides the moderator with remote control over two audience microphones.

Ultra compact and extremely rugged, the HotShot is made tough for years of trouble free performance and is backed-up with a 3-year transferable warranty!

HotShot ABi - select between two mics on stage:

Use the ABi to select between two mics on stage! Great for multi-instrumentalists that may require a mic over a keyboard and another when playing guitar.

In this setup:

Mic-1 goes into ABi's INPUT-A jack. Set Pad switch for Mic-1
Mic-2 goes into ABi's INPUT-B jack. Set Pad, TRIM LIFT for Mic-2
Connect OUTPUT to mixer/recorder/PA system.

HotShot ABi - select between two sources:

Use the ABi to select between a iPod and a computer for audio visual presentations. Easy to use with balanced and unbalanced signals and can be made to work with unbalanced stereo signals with shared grounds.

In this setup:

iPod goes to the ABi's INPUT-A using 1/8" to XLR insert cable
Computer sound output connects to INPUT-B w/similar cable
Set TRIM to match input levels, PADs to lower to mic level
Set LIFT to lift Input-B ground and quell buzz if required

HotShot ABi - select between 'on' and 'mute':

In its simplest form, use the ABi as a mute foot switch to allow the entertainer to clear his throat or cough without the offensive sounds reaching the audience. Furthermore, by reducing the number of mics that are active on stage, one can significantly reduce the spill and leakage; the most common cause of stage feedback.

In this setup:

Microphione into INPUT-A jack
Notheing connected to INPUT-B
OUTPUT connected to mixer > A-B toggle mutes mic

HotShot ABi - select between two DI's:

For live performance, you can pare down your channel count by driving two guitars or keyboards through direct boxes to the ABi and then to the mixer. Ideal for passive DIs like the JDI, ProDI, Duplex or ProD2.

In this setup:

Keyboard goes into a Radial JDI direct box, JDI into INPUT-A
Guitar preamp goes into a Radial J48, J48 into INPUT-B jack
Set Pads for each chanel as required, OUTPUT to mixer

The Radial HotShot ABi line input selector features :

On-stage line input signal AB redirector

Toggle switch for one-push operation

Pads allow using devices with different signal levels

Ground lift to eliminate buzz caused by ground loops

Heavy-duty construction, switches and components
