The Josh Smith Dual Trem is a collaborative effort between Josh, Rockett Pedals and Tim Jauernig. This new Dual Trem is the brainchild of a working musician and, with that in mind, its simplicity is what makes this pedal a great tool. The JSDT was designed to achieve the old school sounds of some of the early Leo amps. It is a very musical and functional piece of equipment. You can dial in two identical trems but with one set fast and one set slow. Or you can vary the intensity so that the trem effect can pop in certain sections of a song, then you simply toggle back and forth! It is very versatile but, more importantly, very inspiring to play!
There are rate lights that constantly flash for each side of the trem that let the user know what the current speed is visually. A second LED will light up indicating which side of the trem is in use. The bypass light will illuminate when the pedal is engaged.
- L/R Footswitch: This switch allows you to toggle between two completely independent trems and settings.
- Boost Control: The boost control is a global level control affecting both trems simultaneously. The purpose is to compensate for volume loss typical of most trems. If you reduce depth on either side of the trem it can act as a clean boost as well.
- Dimensons: 4.75″ x 3″
- 9 volt Negative tip adaptor and a 5.5mm x 2.1mm jack.
- 9 volt Battery
- True Bypass Switching
IMPORTANT message from the manufacturer:
Internally, you will notice a small trimpot. Under no circumstances should the trimpot be touched or adjusted. If you do so, it will knock the pedal out of bias and the pedal will no longer work!
Power SupplyAll J. Rockett Audio Designs pedals operate off of the standard BOSS type 9 volt adapter or a single 9 volt battery. The power input is a 5.5 mm x 2.1 mm jack with the positive voltage on the outer sleeve. Using an external power supply will automatically disconnect the battery. Disconnect the input jack to preserve battery life when not in use or when not used with an appropriate, external power supply.
