The Black Crowes will hit the road early
next year.

Looks like all of you Black Crowes fans out there are getting a little something extra this Christmas season as the band has officially announced that they will finally be ending their nearly three year hiatus in the form of upcoming spring tour dates.

The southern rockers posted the news on their website which revealed that the band will first hit the United Kingdom beginning on March 24th in Manchester and finally reach us here stateside with their April 2nd gig in Port Chester, New York. The band – as of now – will finally end the road show when they hit New Orleans on May 4th.

Still plenty of time to get reacquainted with the Black Crowes entire catalog until they hit the road early next year but speaking of new 2013 tour dates, sounds like recent Rock Hall inductees Rush might have something planned for this upcoming year as well.

According to fan site RushIsABand, alleged 2013 Rush North American tour dates have been leaked online.

The site claims that a photo of an alleged list of 2013 dates was posted to the InfoServ4Rush Twitter feed early on Monday, December 24th.

While you’d figure that a fan site dedicated to a band that is very well known for their prolific touring schedule might jump all over the news as concrete proof, RushIsABand was actually quick to point out that they believe the dates are “almost definitely bogus.”

“It lists 3 separate dates at Jones Beach in Wantagh, NY including on April 18th – the date of the Rock Hall induction ceremony in Los Angeles that Rush has promised to attend,” stated the site.

Considering that Rush is very much well known for touring just as much as they are well known for their years indifference to joining the Rock Hall, chances are the leaked tour itinerary might have been drafted long before they received news of their successful induction.

Still though, while I would agree that the dates are obviously bogus as of now, fans hoping to see the Canadian Hall of Famers sometime in 2013 will almost certainly get their chance – it’s just not official yet.
