Sandy can slow them down, but can't stop KISS*

As all of us here in the South Bay dust off our winter coats for a week of 60 degree weather, we hope everyone out there in the east coast is safe and secure while Sandy makes her way. We’ve already heard about how this storm has postponed the presidential campaign, knocked down several east coast servers, extended the trade deadline for the NFL and knocked out power for millions – and now a possible delay of KISS Kruise?

Unfortunately for all of you KISS kids out there who already purchased tickets to the sold out trip slash concert, it very well might. The band has released on its KISS Kruise website that the KISS themed ocean liner cruise might be postponed due to hurricane Sandy.

“We are aware that Hurricane Sandy is affecting many of your travel plans getting to Miami this week,” reads the statement. “We're working with Norwegian Cruise Line to delay our departure time from Miami on Wednesday as well as an alternate destination port to allow guests to meet the Kruise on Friday should they miss their Miami embarkation.”

The cruise – for those of you unaware of the theatrics this band is capable of – consists of a five day trek from October 31 to November 4, 2012 from Miami, FL to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas onboard the Norwegian Pearl; think of it as your typical carnival cruise – only with much more blood, fire breathing and rock and roll.

The statement goes on to read: “We hope to have more information to you by tomorrow afternoon, but please know we're putting all efforts into making sure this long-awaited vacation is everything it should be. Please note, there are no plans for a change of departure from Miami on Wednesday, only a potential delay of a few hours to accommodate guests arriving late. Thanks for your patience while we explore our best options. If you need to contact Sixthman while you're traveling, please call us at 877-379-9183.”

So there you have it, even the “frankenstorm of the century” can’t stop KISS from rocking .
