Jack White's first ever solo album, Blunderbuss

It seems as though fellow American and former White Stripes frontman Jack White has a lot to be thankful for these days, knocking out stunning songstress Adele for the top spot on the album charts across the pond.

White’s brand new and first solo effort debuted at No. 1 this week, claiming the spot that had been pretty much owned by soul singer-songwriter Adele for over a year now. The UK crooner is far from slowing down after relinquishing the top stop; she was recently named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people – an honor her Prime Minister David Cameron can’t even claim.

White’s blues heavy Blunderbuss now sits atop the list with Adele, Lana Del Rey and Nicki Minaj taking the next three spots, respectively.

On the singles chart, Canadian Idol contestant Carley Rey Jepsen is still queen at No. 1, having sold 434,000 copies to date and easily on track to becoming the best selling single of the year. Scottis singer-songwriter and Rihanna’s “We Found Love” producer Calvin Harris’ new single would only debut at the second spot with his single “Let’s Go.”
