Interesting news has come out suggesting that Jack White could potentially produce the Rolling Stone’s next album.

This would not be the first time Keith Richards and White joined forces on a collaborative effort as the two worked on a few (as of yet unreleased) recordings in 2009 as well as the former White Stripe joining the Stones on stage in 2006 (which can be seen in Martin Scorsese’s Shine a Light).

When asked by Rolling Stone magazine if White could be considered to produce the Rolling Stone’s latest effort, Keith did not seem to rule out the idea. “That’s always a possibility,” said Richards. “The door is wide open.”

This wouldn’t be the first time White has taken his talents behind a mixing board, having produced LPs for Loretta Lynn and Wanda Jackson, not to mention all of the late White Stripes albums

It must be said that there is still no telling when the Rolling Stones will hit the studio and probably not any time soon, although Keith did add that the group will be meeting in July to talk about future plans
