Get ready for plenty more Rammstein in 2013

Alright, so I know everyone out there is probably still a bit hungover from all of the Thanksgiving festivities that took place here in the US this weekend and that’s not even mentioning any Black Friday craziness – although whoever said waiting 24 hours to pick up a discounted copy of “Belieber: The Bieber Story” wasn’t worth it clearly didn’t switch on the optional video commentary featuring a very sweaty Oprah Winfrey – but its Monday so how about we start the week right with some rock news!

Well, it might not have been right on time for the craziest sales day of the year but the good guys from Rammstein are making sure that 2013 will be one with plenty of theatrical-metal gore!

The German metal heads have set a January 15th release date for the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Videos: 1995-2012 which includes a complete collection of the band’s music video catalog along with two new videos for the song “Mein Herz Brennt.”

All in all, the collection includes over seven hours of material with 25 music videos, 24 behind the scenes clips of the making-of-the-videos along with a 56-page booklet thrown in there for good measure. The set will be available on either three DVDs or two Blu-Ray discs and will be released through the band’s marketing and distribution deal with Density Records here in the US.

Some good news for all of you Motley Crue fans as bassist Nikki Sixx shared some interesting revelations on his radio program “Sixx Sense” – which he uses as a way to share with fans the happenings of the band while on tour – that specifically mentions new music is on the horizon.

“So glad we recorded the new Motley Crue track ‘Sex’ and actually got it out in time for the last tour for you to hear live,” said Nikki. “Obviously there is much more to come (as always). Mick Mars told me he has so many riffs ready to go too....But ‘Sex’ was just a taste of some "New Crue". I've personally been writing my ass off for months now. Feeling really inspired to follow it up with the rest of the songs from the band too.......”

“Sex” – the new track mentioned by Sixx – was the band’s first new material in four years which was actually released just prior to the launch of Motley Crue’s summer tour with KISS. The song was said to have been written when the band members were together during their stay in Las Vegas last February.

And in rock fights back against pop news, noted second coming of Jesus Justin Beiber was booed at the Canadian Football League’s Grey Cup championship this weekend according to reports from the Associated Press.

Toronto area football fans were said to boo every time Beiber was shown on the Jumbotron screen as well as every time his name was announced prior to his performance during halftime – which was also met by a wave of boos. Although it’s safe to say that Beiber didn’t get the reception he imagined, the Miley Cyrus-doppelganger remained unfazed.

“Thank you so much, Canada,” said Beiber as the crowd jeered in unison. “I love you.”
