Get that windmill ready as Wholloween is taking over!

Happy Halloween everyone! It’s that time of the year when cross-dressing in tattered clothes is the norm – well, unless you live in Hollywood, then it’s a requirement. Anyways, let’s take a look at how some of rock’s heavy hitters are spending the day.

Those of you who would like to spend all day this Halloween with the Who should be very excited today as the band is currently taking over the airwaves over there at Vh1 Classic for the very appropriately named “Wholloween,” essentially, an entire day of Who related programming that should satisfy the windmill rocker in all of us.

Wholloween kicks at noon Eastern Time with the 1975 British film "Tommy" – based on the 1969 rock opera of the same name – and continues with plenty more Who related programming throughout the day including “Classic Albums: Who’s Next,” “BBC Electric Proms: The Who,” “VH1 Classic in Concert: Listening to You: The Who at The Isle of Wight” as well as plenty more.

Things finally cap off with the US television premiere of the Who documentary, "Quadrophenia: Can You See the Real Me?" scheduled to air at 8 pm.

Over on the Black Sabbath front, fans should be paying very close attention today as it has been reported by the guys over at FasterLouder.com that the Hall of Fame band is set to make a very interesting announcement for Halloween.

It turns out that a mysterious video was posted by concert promoters Live Nation early this Wednesday which seems to suggest that the reunited band could be announcing a tour – too bad Sharon Osborne already let the cat out of the bag.

"[Black Sabbath] is in the studio right now with Rick Rubin recording,” said Sharon during Merrick and the Highway Patrol on Sydney’s Triple M radio station a few weeks ago. “And they are going to be touring here in the Spring of next year. Definitely.”

At least it’s now confirmed.

And finally, seems like Warner Bros wants to give a special treat to all of you Halestorm fans out there this Halloween.

Warner’s YouTube channel "Warner Sounds" will be hosting A Very Halestorm Halloween special today, Halloween, at 12 pm PT / 3 pm ET so if you would like get in on that action, you can watch the Live Room session right here.

Until next time, have a happy and safe Halloween!
